Outdoor Round Table Amok by CarmWorks

In Camilo Andres Rodriguez Marquez’s studio in Bogotá, wood is never something to be hidden behind its finish. The Amok table makes that clear: a round solid oak top, a single central leg, and the Yakisugi technique that chars the surface to draw out the deepest grain of the wood. It is an outdoor table designed to last, treated with natural oils and matte enamel to withstand UV exposure and the elements, as well suited to a terrace as to an open-air meal in a garden. The restraint of its geometry leaves full room for the material, which is most likely the point.
